About me

Hi! I’m Bartłomiej Moroń, but you can call me Bart. Since I’m the main guy (well, currently the only one) writing posts here, I thought I’d tell you a little more about myself.

I come from Brzeszcze, a small town in southern Poland where I grew up, and I still love going back to my family home. I moved to Krakow when I started my studies. Speaking of university, I graduated from the Economics University in Krakow where I studied IT and Econometrics. It was a fun time, and I have to admit I didn’t spend a lot of time in the Uni’s library.

Although I gained some IT knowledge, I still felt insecure. I started my career with three unpaid internships in a row. I was pleasantly surprised when I applied for another internship (this time paid) and actually got the full-time job. Long story short, that’s when I started gaining confidence and was able to use my potential. I worked as an IT data analyst and had the opportunity to create a lot of automation tools with VBA. I realized automation is a big deal, and I enjoyed doing it. Now, I have over 10 years of IT experience working in several different companies as an IT analyst, test analyst, QA engineer, RPA developer, and solution architect. I managed projects and people, but there was always one thing I was missing—I wanted to create my own solutions and be fully responsible for the idea execution.

I always had lots of ideas, and my head has been constantly dreaming of something (whether it’s a project or a business idea). It’s good to dream, but when it comes to idea execution…

Ideas are easy. Implementation is hard.

Guy Kawasaki, entrepreneur and venture capitalist

I tried to execute several initiatives, which I will also be telling you about here on the blog. I’m an aspiring entrepreneur who has already learned a lot of lessons (including failures). But that’s okay; the journey to achieving something is a great feeling!

But work and my startup initiatives aren’t the only things I do. Outside of that, I love to do sports! I’m into OCR racing (which involves running in the mud, climbing ropes, jumping through walls, etc.). I also managed to kayak through the Vistula, the longest river in Poland. I spent 17 days in a boat and a tent—it was the best time of my life. In 2009, I traveled from Poland to Greece by bicycle with my friends, and in 2012, we traveled round Corsica and Sardinia on our bikes. I also go to the gym and try to run as much as I can, as long as my legs let me.

It’s great to meet you here, and I hope you enjoy the content!

Cheers,
Bart
